Rather than depicting the event literally, the artwork uses symbolic imagery: a burning interior space, two isolated figures, and a sense of heat closing in. These elements represent the emotional impact of the moment — the fear, the helplessness, and the way a single experience can become the spark that ignites decades of recurring visions.
